Travel Advice

The practice offers a variety of advice on health issues when travelling abroad. These include general information on specific countries, need for immunisations and risks and prevention of specific illness such as malaria. We are not able to give yellow fever vaccinations but there are special centres for this- we can give details of the yellow fever vaccine centres on request.

It is usually advisable to make an appointment as soon as your travel plans are known as immunisations are more effective if given some weeks before leaving the country. Also if you are travelling through several different countries, you may need different immunisations over a period of several weeks and some vaccines have to be specially ordered which may take a few days.

We offer advice and many vaccines without charge but there are fees for certain immunisations and malaria prevention medicines.
