Repeat Prescriptions

Before you can order repeat prescriptions online (or make/cancel appointments) you must first register your details for this service.

It is quick and easy to register. You will need to come into the surgery for an application form and then you will be given the relevant details to enable you to set up an account and use the system.

You will then be able to see the items that you have on your repeat prescription list and may order online 24hours a day.

You will be able to see the progress of your request online. Please note however that once the prescription request is accepted by the practice, it will take 48 hours to process as when ordered in other ways.

Dispensary

We have a dispensary in the surgery which is able to dispense to all patients who live further than 1 mile from the surgery.

When you register you will be informed by reception whether we can dispense for you or not.

The dispensary is open between the hours of 8.30 and 18.30 Monday to Friday.

The dispensary staff can take calls on 01488 674040 between the hours of 11.00 and 15.00.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
