When I go to the surgery, I may need to have a blood test.

The nurse will put a band around my arm which will help them get my blood out.

I must try and stay calm, and the nurse will try and make me feel as happy as possible.

The nurse will then insert the needle; I may feel a pinch.

The nurse will then stick a plaster or a cotton wool ball to my arm once they are done.

The blood test will give the doctor important information about my health.
