Coming in for a Vaccination
(Easy Read)

A vaccine is a medicine that stops people getting very sick.
There are lots of vaccines I can have to stop me getting very sick.

I will check in for my appointment at reception, and then I need to wait in the waiting room with other people.

When it is time for my appointment, I will be asked to take a seat in their room.
I must take my coat off and make sure my arm is free..

I must try and stay still and calm, the nurse is there to help me at the appointment.

The nurse will then give me the vaccine.
I may feel a pinch when the needle goes into my arm.

Once the vaccine is done, the nurse will check I am okay and put a plaster on my arm.
