For my nurse appointment I will go to reception and tell them my name or use the check-in screen.

I will need to sit in the waiting room until it’s my turn. I will then follow them to their room.

The nurse may ask me to stand on a scale to measure my weight or to stand straight against a wall to measure my height.

They can also dress wounds and give injections.

The nurse may need to do my blood pressure.

The blood pressure cuff will be wrapped around my arm.

There will be a slight squeeze as it measures my blood pressure.

This won’t last too long.

The nurse may ask a few questions about my overall health.

I must be honest with my answers.

When the nurse is done, they will check if I’m okay and say if I need another appointment at reception.
