Making An Urgent Appointment
(Easy Read)

I may need to visit the Doctors.
This could be if I have hurt myself or feel poorly.
I should get my parents or carer to phone the surgery.

The care navigator will ask questions to give me the best help and say if the doctor needs to see me and when.

When I get to the Doctors, I must let the receptionist know I am here.
It may be busy so I could bring headphones or a book to read.

The Doctor I am seeing may sometimes run late.
I must be patient.
The Doctor will see me when they are ready.

The Doctor will call my name as soon as they are ready.
I will then follow them to their room for my appointment.
