Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
• Insurance claim forms
• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
• Private sick notes
• Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.

Samples and specimens should be delivered to the surgery before 11:00 Monday to Friday, with full name and address marked on the container.

How to find out a test result

It is vital that you find out all results of tests taken.

Your doctor or nurse will tell you when the results of your test should be back. Please telephone 01488 71715 after 14:00 to speak to the receptionist. She will need to confirm your identity and will then tell you your result.

Sometimes it may be necessary to speak to the doctor to clarify something regarding the result.

If you are travelling abroad please make sure you contact us in plenty of time to arrange any vaccinations that may be necessary. To help the Travel Nurses assess your travel needs it is important that they are in receipt of the assessment form before your appointment.
