Job Summary

• Provide clinical diagnoses for pain associated with the musculoskeletal system (muscles, joints, ligaments, nerves etc)
• Offer a plausible explanation of possible underlying causes, providing practical non-invasive advice and techniques to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Requests for relevant imaging, and where appropriate, blood tests to assist in the diagnostic clinical reasoning process can also be made.

What I can do

• Can offer practical advice to encourage patients to take ownership of their condition, reduce the reliance on medication and reduce footfall through the surgery in general terms.
• By emphasising the need for collaboration to overcome pain and discomfort whilst considering the limitation of any intervention, Dr Aluko can encourage patients to be realistic about treatment outcomes.

What I can't do

• Cannot reverse the effects of the natural aging process and its associated aches and pains.
• Cannot prescribe medication or give injections.
• Although able to refer to MSK Physiotherapy treatment providers and giving them relevant clinical examination findings to support my clinical reasoning process, cannot influence their clinical judgement and treatment choices.
